The new HIAB X-HiDuo 298 gives you all the control you want and need in a mid-range crane –smooth, rapid response operation, absolute safety and 10% added capacity where and when you need it. It gives you the tools to work better, faster, more productively with less effort and less fuel, and innovative features that protect your investment. Customize your crane with Boom Deployment Assistant (BDA), Load Stability System (LSS) for faster, smoother operation and no sway, and a range of rotators, hydraulic hooks, pallet forks and brick grabs.

Control your crane

The HIAB HiDuo 298 delivers high efficiency and value, with great performance and fast load cycles. Multiple boom systems with available features that make it easy to access hard-to-reach places and the power to get your load there. Two specialized booms are available to control your load: the E-link inner boom lifts heavy loads close to the column; the P-boom provides a controlled extension/retraction sequence to reduce total boom weight. And its unique X feature lets you access tight spaces up to 21 metres away. A quick touch of the ergonomic XS Drive™ controller and your crane instantly responds for added stability even on vertical lifts. Plus you can perform many of its over 30 different functions at the same time. Easy-tilt stabilizer legs keep you safer yet. And the available BDA monitors angle and position during folding and unfolding to avoid operator error. You’re in control of your crane at all times.

Control your productivity

The boom systems are aided by standard Automatic Duty Control (ADC) and Automatic Speed Control (ASC) to boost capacity up to 10% when you need it most – with no extra steps required by the operator. Standard Auto Damping of Oil (ADO) smoothly returns you to exactly where your lever stops – every time – and sends oil back to the tank in just three seconds, so you save oil, fuel and money.
