A space-age control system
The HIAB iQ.1188 HiPRO truck crane is not just next-generation – it's next-level! Its purpose-designed to optimize reach, capacity, precision, performance, speed, safety and control on almost every task and every job, and the first crane to be equipped with HIAB's highly advanced new SPACEevo control system combined with a CD4 remote control. What makes the iQ.1188 even more impressive is its innovative V12-Power boom shape. Its unique design makes both the crane and jib extremely light and compact, delivering increased available weight allowance and the heaviest lifting performance in its category.
The articulating crane's new SPACEevo control system gives you precise operation at high speeds and has many high-tech advanced functions to work faster, safer and more efficiently. Automatic Speed Control (ASC) automatically engages to reduce speed when you reach capacity limit so you can lift an additional 10% without coming to a stop. Automatic Duty Control (ADC) lets you safely perform lifts that would otherwise exceed capacity. Variable Stability Logic Plus (VSL+) increases lift capacity; Vertical Load Stability System (LSS-V) automatically compensates for unintentional operator movements, and Semi-automatic Folding (SAF) lets you safely fold and unfold the crane with just one lever. The iQ.1188 also features a dual-core processor, sensors, actuators and a new harness design that give the iQ.1188HiPRO the power it needs while increasing reliability and to assure you can optimize work on even the most difficult jobs. The control system also helps less experienced operators to handle loads with total safety by reducing the complexity of operations. And the modular open SPACEevo platform enables continuous updates to keep your crane up-to-the-minute and improve and extend its life and resale value.
With Next-level CD4 remote control
That space-age control system is controlled by a next-level CD4 remote control that gives you three big colour displays, more information, haptic (vibrational) feedback and increased battery life. And there's so much more! Operators can personalize settings like speed and crane reaction and store them in memory – a faster startup on every job and a giant plus for fleet managers. Confirm View identifies the operator's location, so stabilizer legs open only when they're in full view. And Dynamic Load Charts (DLC-S) let operators plan scheduled lifts in advance by simulating stabilization in various positions.
A bigger payload. A bigger pay-off.
The iQ.1188 HiPRO has all the performance of a big crane in a smaller, lightweight, compact package. Its unique design has a long reach, optimizing performance to 40 m (131.24 ft.) vertically and 36.5 m (120 ft.) horizontally. And this next-gen all-rounder is no larger than a 90 tm truck crane but has a 30-tonne capacity (something otherwise requiring 110 tm). And it’s easily installed on a 4-axle truck with available added room for payload. Even with 10 extensions (or nine plus a special V12 Power-shaped 155Q-6 jib), it requires only 2 m (6 ft.) of in-build and 4 m (12 ft) in height. That means fewer trips and reduced fuel costs. The HIAB iQ.1188 HiPRO is also available with an optional 3.5-tonne (7,700 lb.) winch.
Pay-off also comes from its flexibility to tackle a myriad of uses and other technology that helps to 'future-proof' the crane and hold its resale value – the highest in the industry. One iQ.1188 can handle anything from glass plates to cabin and container placement, steel structure displacement, heavy loads and machinery movement, highway maintenance, bridge inspections and general logistics. Thanks to a variable pump, Automatic Dumping Oil (ADO) system, the HIAB iQ.1188 HiPRO is more sustainable. And an optional cyclone tank reduces oil usage, weight, space and running costs.
