WITH HIAB, THERE’S NO JOB THIS COMPANY CAN’T FULFILL

PDM HIAB Truck

Increased efficiency and enhanced customer experience are paramount for independent builders’ supplies merchant Huws Gray Group and its product delivery subsidiary, PDM. HIAB has helped achieve those goals.

Huws Gray is one of the largest building supply companies in the UK, with over 250 locations across England, Scotland and Wales. PDM, its product delivery arm, has added six new Volvo FE trucks, mounted with HIAB X-CLX 128 and X-HiDUO 158 knuckleboom cranes. With them, PDM’s fleet expands to over 70 vehicles, ranging from 3.5-tonne pickups to 26-tonne crane truck packages. Adding the HiDUO 158 crane truck packages with a capacity of 5,000 kg and a 15.1-metre reach, PDM is confident there is likely no job or location they cannot deliver to.

The HiDUO 158 also increases productivity by controlling over 30 crane movements—many simultaneously—and an additional automatic 10 percent capacity boost. According to PDM, it has increased fuel economy, fewer emissions, and four link-free extensions, perfect for lift and load jobs.

The X-CLX 128 truck crane has a double-fast boom extension system, unrivalled heat-free performance and high fuel savings thanks to an optimized fuel system. It can lift 4300 kg and has a 15.1 metre reach.

PDM and Huws Gray know their commitment to the best customer service sets them apart. They also recognize that to maintain it, they need tools, equipment and facilities that can ensure flexibility and efficiency to meet the demands of any job. Its million pounds (1.8 million Cdn) investment enables PDM to move and deliver more building materials across a greater area, with one of the most modern delivery vehicle fleets in the industry.
