HIAB Crane Training Course
If you own an articulated crane with a capacity of 16,000 lbs. or less, you should know that Ontario’s labour legislation requires operators to have accreditation.
Atlas Polar, the Canadian distributor for HIAB cranes, offers the HIAB Crane Training Course to train and certify your operators. The two comprehensive courses were developed to make it easier for you to accredit operators.
The introductory course is a prerequisite that familiarizes new operators with the articulated crane. The emphasis is on safety, and it includes written, hands–on, and one–on–one practice and training.
The second diploma course requires operators to have had one month´s experience operating an articulated crane. It focuses on safety and crane operation, and was designed to meet the Occupational Health and Safety Act’s regulations.
Along with applying for operator accreditation, these courses will improve operator safety and productivity, as well as reduce down time, and lengthen crane life.
