2025: EMISSION-FREE LOGISTICS. HIAB GETS VLOT PREPARED.

HIAB VLOT

The Netherlands is one of the top five countries leading the world in managing climate change and carbon emissions. In 2025, it will implement a zero-emission zone in all major cities, requiring new service and delivery vehicles to be emission-free. VLOT Logistics is preparing for that reality with HIAB and Moffett.

In 125 years, VLOT has grown from horse-and-carriage deliveries to full-scale logistics with a fleet of trucks, vans, and materials handling equipment. They distribute, transport and manage logistics for everything from furniture to sanitation, construction, infrastructure, removals and more.

Durability and sustainability are part of VLOT’s DNA. So is listening to their operators – and they have a lot of positive things to say.

One operator talks about his long relationship with HIAB and why it’s his brand of choice for every crane, from his first model to his current one.

Another discusses HIAB cranes’ quiet operation from another perspective—safety. “You know what’s coming because you can hear sounds and traffic when loading or unloading.”

An electric Moffett operator talks about the advantages of its versatility and the opportunities it creates. “It can go anywhere, including hospitals and government buildings, because it doesn’t make a sound. All-electric makes it even easier to steer and react quickly.”

Growing with HIAB also made sense to VLOT from a business perspective. They look for user-friendliness and reliability in any new equipment, but also a solid service network and a relationship that digs deep enough to understand the best possible solutions for its business. VLOT’s management goes as far as to say that the company is not competitive in tenders without them.
